FindSlot's new features bring more of the work around appointment scheduling into one place. You can review client history, understand customer segments, connect a staff calendar and see supported changes in the Activity Log. Booking-policy controls and an optional branding switch help you shape the client experience.
These additions support a practical goal: give service businesses a clearer picture of the people, settings and changes behind the calendar.
Client management: profiles and booking history
The new Clients page brings your business's client records into a searchable directory. Open a profile to review contact details, appointment history, visit statistics, upcoming appointments and booked value.
Profiles also include charts for monthly visits or booked value, visits by weekday, services booked and staff seen. Each chart has a table view for checking the underlying figures.
For a salon owner, that means the context for a repeat booking is closer at hand. For a coach, tutor or other service provider, it can help connect the next appointment with previous sessions.
A visit in client statistics is an accepted or completed appointment whose start time has passed. Keep appointment statuses accurate so a canceled or missed appointment does not remain recorded as an accepted visit.
Understand customer segments
FindSlot assigns lifecycle segments from appointment history: No visits, At risk, New, Loyal, Returning and One-time. A separate Frequent no-shows flag identifies clients with at least two appointments marked Missed.
The rules are explicit. At risk means the last qualifying visit was more than 90 days ago. New covers a first visit within the last 30 days. Loyal requires at least five visits when an earlier rule does not apply.
Segments help you choose which records to review. They do not prove that a client is dissatisfied or predict whether someone will return. Check the person's service cycle and upcoming appointments before deciding what action is useful.
The Clients page and segments are included across plans, with access for owners and managers by default.
Read the client management guide for the full segment rules and examples.
Google Calendar and Outlook appointment sync
Staff can connect their own Google Calendar or Outlook account and have FindSlot appointments sent to that calendar. Pending appointments appear as tentative events, accepted appointments are reflected as confirmed, and booking changes can update the event.
The integration is one-way. It sends appointments from FindSlot to the connected calendar. It does not read external busy time back to block online booking slots.
Continue managing appointments and staff availability in FindSlot. A personal commitment added only in Google or Outlook will not by itself make that hour unavailable to clients.
Each staff member manages their own connection. Google and Outlook connections are available across plans.
See the Google Calendar and Outlook sync guide for setup, event behavior and troubleshooting.
Appointment change history in the Activity Log
The Activity Log, under Settings, helps owners and managers review who changed what. Entries describe supported actions in readable sentences, with filters for category, person and date and additional change detail where recorded.
Coverage includes appointment changes and supported updates to services, schedules, staff, client records, booking links and business settings. The actor can be a staff member, Client, System or FindSlot support.
Entries are kept for 60 days. The log is useful for recent operational questions and handovers; it does not provide permanent history, an undo function or coverage of every field in the application.
Activity Log is included across plans, with permissions determining who can view it.
Read how to track appointment changes in the Activity Log, including its coverage and retention limits.
Booking policies: rescheduling and cancellation deadlines
FindSlot provides separate company settings for client rescheduling and cancellation windows. These controls are available across plans and apply to client self-service. Staff retain the ability to manage permitted changes directly.
Clients also get a clearer explanation after an accepted appointment's online cancellation deadline has passed, including when the window closed and a direction to contact the business if they cannot attend.
This helps distinguish "the online deadline has passed" from "nothing happened when I tried to cancel." Keep your written policy aligned with the settings and the way your team handles direct requests.
Use the rescheduling policy and message templates and salon cancellation policy examples when reviewing that wording.
Choose whether to display the FindSlot badge
On Pro and Enterprise, a person with permission to update the business can turn off Show Powered by FindSlot in the booking-page editor.
The badge is shown by default. Turning it off is a choice for the business, rather than an automatic change when upgrading. The booking page and the client's appointment page follow the setting.
This control concerns the FindSlot badge. It does not introduce a custom domain, a separate branded mobile application or unrestricted white-label hosting.
For the broader presentation of services and availability, see the custom booking page overview.
What is included where?
- Clients page and lifecycle segments: Across plans; viewing permissions apply.
- Google Calendar and Outlook connections: Across plans; each staff member connects their account.
- Activity Log: Across plans; owners and managers have access by default.
- Client rescheduling and cancellation windows: Across plans.
- Optional FindSlot badge removal: Pro and Enterprise.
Plan limits and other capabilities still differ. Review the current pricing page when choosing the right account for your business.
Preview the planned Reports and minimum-notice features
Two additional guides explain the planned reporting and minimum booking notice work reviewed on 29 September 2026. Production availability was not confirmed at that review, so these are previews rather than announcements of current availability.
The appointment reports and booking analytics preview explains bookings, visits, no-show rates and booked value. The minimum booking notice guide and preview explains appointment lead time and how it differs from a cancellation window or a buffer.
Check your workspace and current feature information before relying on the previewed controls. The guides provide practical definitions and policy examples while making their release status clear.
Start with the change that solves today's problem
If staff lack context about repeat clients, start with the Clients page. If a recent booking change is unclear, review the Activity Log. If providers want appointments visible in their usual calendar, set up and check their calendar connections.
Then review the client-facing details: do the change windows match your policy, and does the booking page present the experience you want?
There is no need to change every routine at once. Pick one workflow, check it with your team and make it part of the normal appointment process.
